The cards in baccarat that are 2-9 have their face value point wise. Other cards have zero points including all face cards and 10s. All aces are worth a single point. The scores are calculated by adding up the two cards and then eliminating the 10s spot. For example, a hand that is 6 and 7 would have a total score of 13, which would be reduced to just 3. A hand of 3 and 6 would score 9 without having to do anything other than add the two. A baccarat hand would be a hand equal to 0, like 4 and 6. It’s funny that the worst hand equals 0 and is called a baccarat, the same name as the game! The best score in baccarat is a 9.
